Pastor Joe has been honored to serve the congregation of Sellersburg UMC since July 2018.  Previously, Pastor Joe served the congregation of Darlington UMC four years as Sr. Pastor as well as Grace UMC in Franklin six years as The Director of Youth Ministries.  Having earned his Master of Divinity degree with honors at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, he is committed to proclaiming The Kingdom of God and making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world through God’s love, justice, and peace.  He seeks to actively minister within the congregation and community to nurture relationships between people and the Holy Spirit as well as one another.

Pastor Joe's passion is being missional.  He's spent time ministering and serving with people from around the world including Brazil, Guatemala, France, and Israel.  He has worked with people around the country including New Orleans (Katrina clean-up), Kentucky, North Carolina, Nashville, Indianapolis, and more.  He is committed to the work of anti-racism in his own life as well as his home, congregation, and community.

Pastor Joe and his wife Lauren have four children and enjoy spending time as a family.  Pastor Joe enjoys to golf, reading, and playing music.  Lauren enjoys reading, music, and attending any live performances of any kind.  Noah loves to be creative: reading, writing, drawing, composing, photographing, and filming.  Juliette enjoys drawing, creating, reading, and building.  Lyla loves reading, puzzles, and learning (especially about dinosaurs).  Audrey enjoys exploring, singing, and being around her family.
