Our current Sermon series is a reflection on our calling as Christians, United Methodists, and community members of Sellersburg Indiana. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Our vision is to become a community of disciples who Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously. Our calling is to follow Jesus Christ by serving the least, the lost, and the marginalized. Our commitment is to support the ministries of the church with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service, and our witness.
Sellersburg United Methodist Church has been a beacon of faith in the community for over 150 years. We are grounded in our faith in Jesus Christ, while continually reaching towards new ways of sharing the good news of God’s amazing and wonderful love. We are an inclusive community welcoming all people. We are a safe space where questions are encouraged, and where we search for the answers together. We are Wesleyan: biblically based, using reason, experience, and tradition to understand and apply scripture. We believe that our love for our neighbor is a reflection of our love for God.
